1. Getting Started
Track Your Dump lets you record where you drop off and pick up dumpsters, right from your phone. Each record includes the address, the dumpster tag, the size, and a photo. There's nothing to install — you just open the website in your phone's browser.
2. Logging In
- Open your company web address (for example
trackyourdump.com). - On the welcome screen, choose Employee.
- Enter your email and password, then tap Login.
Forgot your password?
- Tap Forgot your password? on the login page.
- Enter your email and tap Send reset email.
- Open the email and follow the link, then set a new password.
3. Your Dashboard
After logging in you'll see a greeting and a card for each task:
Delivery
Record dropping off a dumpster.
Pull / Pick Up
Record picking up a dumpster.
Service
Record a service visit.
Messages
Read messages from management.
A message icon at the top shows a red dot when you have a new message. Tap Logout when you're finished, especially on a shared device.
4. Recording a Delivery (Drop Off)
- On the dashboard, tap Record under Delivery.
- Type the drop-off address, or tap Use Current Location to fill it in automatically.
- Enter the Dumpster Tag (the number/label on the dumpster).
- Choose the Dumpster Size (10, 15, 20, or 30 Yard).
- Tap Dropoff Photo to take a picture of the placed dumpster.
- Tap Drop Off. A small map confirms the spot.
5. Recording a Pickup
- On the dashboard, tap Record under Pull / Pick Up.
- Enter the pickup location, the Dumpster Tag, and the Size.
- Take a Pickup Photo.
- Tap Pick Up.
6. Recording Service
Use this when you service a dumpster without delivering or picking it up.
- On the dashboard, tap Record under Service.
- Enter the location, dumpster number, and size.
- Add any Notes about the service (optional).
- Tap Drop Off to save the service record.
7. Scanning a Dumpster QR Code
Many dumpsters have a printed QR code sticker. Scanning it is the fastest way to start a record.
- Open your phone's camera and point it at the QR code.
- Tap the link that appears. If asked, log in.
- You'll see the dumpster's tag and size, with buttons to start a Delivery, Swap, or Removal.
- Pick the action — the form opens with the tag and size already filled in. Just add the location and photo.
8. Reading Messages
- Tap the message icon at the top of your dashboard, or the Messages card.
- Read your messages in the list. Messages sent to everyone are marked accordingly.
- Use the Date and Range controls to look back at older messages if needed.
9. Troubleshooting
| Problem | What to try |
|---|---|
| "Use Current Location" doesn't work | Allow location access for the website in your browser settings, then try again. You can always type the address by hand. |
| The Drop Off / Pick Up button is greyed out | Make sure the address, dumpster tag, and size are all filled in. |
| Camera won't open for a photo | Allow camera access in your browser, or choose a photo from your gallery. |
| I was logged out | Sessions expire after a while. Just log in again. |
| No password reset email | Check your spam/junk folder. If it still hasn't arrived after a few minutes, contact your administrator. |
